adidas Action Day was Fun in the Sun

While most of Chicago might have been gently slumbering in the early hours of Saturday, May 16, students from Corkery Elementary, volunteers from adidas, Mahoney and Associates landscapers and SCORES staff were using a little elbow grease to renovate Corkery's soccer field.  Volunteers picked up trash and litter, planted grass seeds, assembled brand-new Kwik Goals, lined the field and enjoyed the lovely mild weather.  Because of adidas' $5,000 grant, SCORES poet-athletes now have a healthy, grassy field, brand new soccer goals, benches, and a lot of super-nice adidas gear to help them play proudly and safely.
