In November 2008, SCORES hosted its annual Community Poetry SLAM at Little Village High School. Poet-athletes from around the West Side practiced for months, painstakingly preparing for their big night. Kids wrote and performed poems as teams, but some kids had the option of performing their poetry as individuals. Click on the video to see highlights of the SLAM!
