Fall Frenzy Recap

This year’s Fall Frenzy was, well, a frenzy. The day started out cold and clammy and remained so throughout the afternoon, so it was decided to move the Frenzy indoors at one of our partner schools, Chalmers.

We set up a special room for a poetry reading, and the gym was used for a Hunt 4 Soccer Clinic run by volunteers from UIC Men’s Soccer team and the Chicago Red Stars. While one group of poet-athletes read their original poetry, the other group worked on their passing, dribbling and handling skills. And the best part of Hunt 4 Soccer: the poet-athletes each get their very own soccer ball! In addition to getting a free soccer ball, the folks at Quaker Oats generously donated boxes and boxes of fun-size Halloween Chewy Bars! Quite frankly, our poet-athletes almost plotzed at all the excitement and all the free goodies.

Be sure to check out our Flickr stream to see all the cute pictures and the great team photos!
